Hi,
I’m Ms. Amber
Hi! I’m Ms. Amber, the founder of Sol Rites Schoolhouse. This vision was inspired by a lifetime of experiences in education, arts, nature studies, and service, rooted in a deep commitment to nurturing children and supporting families through meaningful, connected learning.
I had the privilege of attending a Montessori school as a child and never forgot the calm, connected, and joyful environment that allowed me to trust in my teachers and truly learn.
I went on to earn my second-degree black belt in Taekwondo as a teen and became an instructor for our school’s “Little Dragons” program.
I attended the Charleston School of the Arts, where I trained intensively in music theory, improv, and performing arts.
After moving to Tennessee to pursue music, I discovered a deep sense of fulfillment working as an organic farming intern at Allenbrooke Farms in Spring Hill, where I spent four years learning the natural cycles of the land.
During that time, I was also hired to serve a family with three children (grades 5th-12th) as their private, live-in homeschool teacher on a 100+ acre farm filled with forests, creeks, gardens, chickens, and horses.
The children thrived within the creative curriculum I brought to life; one that extended beyond textbooks into real, lived experiences.
I also developed a curriculum for a Martial Arts and a Music & Movement program that I instructed at Lifetime Fitness in Franklin, Tennessee.
When I became a mother, I knew I wanted to continue this legacy: educating children from a foundation rooted in the beauty and wonder of life and the world around them.
During their young years, I received mentorship from the Farm Midwives as I became a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. The skills of holding a safe, attuned space for children naturally translated into supporting mothers during one of the most vulnerable and transformative times in their lives.
As I reflected on the next step in my path, I felt called to deepen my work by pursuing a Master’s in Social Work, with the intention of becoming a Licensed Clinical Therapist specializing in play therapy for children.
I am currently working toward that dream as an online student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Alongside that work, I serve the children of Maury County as a sworn CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), advocating for children in need of safety, stability, and a voice.
Each day, as I nurture the children in my program, I have the opportunity to observe, integrate, and grow the very skills I am studying.
It is a beautiful pairing, serving as a teacher to so many incredible children, while always remaining a student of life myself.
